Why Steam will Stop Working on Windows 7 and 8 Next Year?

The latest updates in Steam depend on an integrated version of Google Chrome, which is no longer compatible with earlier versions of Windows, according to Valve’s typically brief announcement. Furthermore, upcoming Steam releases will necessitate Windows features and security enhancements that are only available in Windows 10 and later versions.

Earlier, many other gaming platforms also stop sporting Windows 7 and 8 but this is the major announcement and decision that come to our knowledge most recently.

Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 back in January, so it’s been evident that changes were coming. What does Microsoft suggest? They advise upgrading to a device that is compatible with Windows 11. On the other hand, when Epic removed support for Windows 7 and 8 for Fortnite earlier this month, they proposed that devoted users of outdated operating systems utilize GeForce Now as an alternative.
